Surrender.

ALL!

Hi my love, how are you doing? How was this week for you? For me, it was just there. It was kind of unproductive at first but I started a book and I represented my college in a march past today!😂 Classes are probably going to start next week and I might just run away, ‘cause I've not even rested at all.

Take a quick break and thank God for today.

I don't know about you guys but I think I've said this “I accept Jesus as my Lord and personal saviour” line over twelve times in my life. Why?maybe it's a sweet line, idk.😂 Okay, honestly? I found that most times I’ve truly accepted Jesus as my saviour but that Lord part, ehn?

The truth is it's quite easy to accept Jesus as our savior. I mean, He has already saved us by dying for our sins. The only thing we actually have to do here is to BELIEVE The real test and hard work lies in accepting Him as the Lord of our lives. I call this hard work because most times, we tend to compartmentalize our lives. We allow Jesus take care of some areas of our lives but we stop Him from having control of the other parts.

It's like having a house and telling some people that the only place they can enter is the living room and toilet, every other place is out of bounds.

This is how many of us treat Jesus. We tell Him "Abba father, see my finances, take control oh, sapa wants to end me. See my education, I must not fail oh, oluwa shanu. You see that prayer and bible study, I'll find time but for now, I'm too tired. The kind of music I listen to? Just ignore abeg, it's not that deep. That slit on my dress? It's not that bad now. "

In making Jesus the Lord of your life, you're making Him the overseer of every area of your life. Lately, I realized that the littlest things, even things like memes, matter a lot. Let Jesus be the deciding factor in every little thing that you want to do. Surrendering totally is the only way our salvation can be kept intact because if we keep doing things the way we like and not according to His pattern, backsliding is not far from us.

My love, if you haven't surrendered ALL, you haven't surrendered at all.

Another thing you should know is that in surrendering to Him, you might loose things or people. One important thing you should have in mind is that before anything, you're a child of God. The fact that you're a child of God supercedes everything and everyone in your life, so you must be prepared to let go. One thing I learnt recently is that people won't change their mindset because of you, they would never agree with what you believe in, so why should you be the one to compromise your faith because you want to please them?

Whatever or whoever you lose for Christ is worth it.

This doesn't mean you should just be cutting people off anyhow sha, let the Holy Spirit guide you.

If Jesus gladly chose surrender, so will I. You should too. Till next week, I love you guys soo much, byeee!😚❤️
