You're probably surprised to hear from me tonight. It's not Saturday yet, right? I know, I know.
Today, something sparked within me. I woke up in the early hours of today with a sense of clarity and purpose. As I lay in bed, meditating and saying my prayers, I knew exactly how I wanted to celebrate my birth month – by sharing thirty days of reflections, stories, and lessons learned with you.
As the eleventh month of the year, November always brings a mix of nostalgia and anticipation. November is the month I start thinking about all the things that has happened so far in the year. And I'm always anticipating my birthday and Christmas! See, I've started humming, "It's the most wonderful time of the year", cause it really is! FYI, this is the year I turn 21! I'm so excited and scared at the same time.
The idea struck unexpectedly, but it felt right. And as God would have it, a conversation with my friend, Ijeoma, moments later solidified my decision. She said, "Oh, something like Dear November abi?" I loved it!
This series, Dear November, is born from serendipity and spontaneity and it serves two purposes. Firstly, it's a gift to you, my love, as a token of appreciation for being part of my journey. I hope these daily letters will inspire, comfort, and challenge you to reflect on your own path.
Secondly, this series is a personal challenge for me – a commitment to consistency and growth as a writer. By sharing my thoughts, experiences, and insights with you each day, I aim to hone my craft, explore new ideas, and deepen our connection.
For the next thirty days, expect:
- Stories from my daily life.
- Musings on life
- Lessons learned
- And perhaps a few surprises along the way.
Welcome to Dear November, and for our new subscribers, welcome to the family!
And for anyone that cares to know, I had a lovely day! I hope you did too!
See you tomorrow!🤭
I really can't waittt🥺💕
I'm so excited 🤭🤭🤭
