Not really a letter.

why are you so mad that i chose myself?

it has always been your desires over mine.

why are you so angry that i no longer want to play the fool?

you ask, I give, just how you like it.

always kissing your feet with the dust that comes with it

i chose to see myself the way you saw me

cause i looked so perfect on your canvas, the way you draw me.

but all you did was make me feel small

are you really upset? or are you just afraid?

are you scared that I'll no longer come to your aid?

that i'll no longer let you keep taking from me

i'm probably going to feel almost empty for a while

it's the price i have to pay for falling for your wiles

you left a void that i think will never be filled

but it's okay, 'cause things will finally go my way from now on

I finally have my day.

I'm trying to let go of these pieces that have been in my notes app for so long. So much has changed between the time I wrote this and now. When I got back into writing last year, I knew it was going to be a journey of self-discovery and I'm really grateful to God for growth. This is going to be the last of “poetry” you’ll be seeing here for a while.🤭 I'm kind of starting afresh in September and it's going to be a good month, God willing.

I think it's only right that I tell you this, ‘cause I didn't let you people rest at all😂 Our results came out and hehe. God is good, my love! He is too good. He just keeps proving that anxiety is actually a liar. 😭 Help me thank God abeg.

I really want to say thank you to you, my love. Thank you for your support. We’re over 200 here now and I'm just so grateful for the gift of you. You have made my year, honestly.

Also, for the next three weeks, I'll be sending letters out on Fridays, I ‘m going on a kind of retreat. I’ll give you the full gist later on.

The letter for next week is going to a Currently letter. You know what that means right? Rightttt?
